HOME IS WHERE OUR HEART IS.
We are lucky enough to live in one of the prettiest coastal towns on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, surrounded by rolling farming pastures and hemmed by surf beaches, our heart firmly lives in our Flinders nook.
A small town, full of like minded town folk, Flinders is all about being outdoors, taking advantage of our beach locale in summer, and hunkering down fireside in winter. It’s a haven for beach loving, wood stacking types like us.
Our tiny beach shack had all we needed for our family of three, a view of the garden from every room, and tonnes of space to entertain outdoors.
With an aesthetic that is made for sandy feet!
As featured in Country Style, and photographed by the gorgeous Marnie Hawson, this house features so much of us, filled with our Unearthed Garden wares, Stackers and Planters at every turn, the garden was lovingly landscaped by us under our ‘other guise’; Real Earth Developments – Landscape Construction.
There’s a lot to love about this little house, which is now in the hands of another family, who love their new Flinders hood as much as we do!
The white speckled kitchen tiles were lovingly handmade by Paul & Jurgen of The City Tiler.They are of stunning craft, and absolute imperfect beauty.
Our bedroom features planting accents in Sand; the slender form of our Cylinder Planter, and our Hanging Planter with braided leather detail.
With heated floors and door from the deck direct into the bathroom, makes a winter surf not so chilly!
Outside is where it is at for us. For us, it’s what’s on the outside that really counts!
Whether it be entertaining on the front deck, jumping on the tramp, lounging on the grass, or fireside in the winter courtyard, our little shack packs a big outside punch.
